Da Wei
Director of the Center for International Security and Strategy, Tsinghua University

Da Wei is Director of the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) and a Professor of the Department of International Relations, School of Social Science, both at Tsinghua University. His areas of academic expertise and research focus concern contemporary China-U.S. relations as well as U.S. security and foreign policy. Dr. Da has worked in China’s academic and policy community for over two decades.

Prior to undertaking his current positions, he served as Assistant President of the University of International Relations (2017-2020) and the Director of the Institute of American Studies at the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (2013-2017). Dr. Da has written hundreds of policy papers for the Chinese government, and published academic papers in journals in China, the U.S. and other countries.
